Pastoral Care is defined as nurturing the wellbeing of the members of the educational institution. We aim to enhance the personal growth of each individual physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially according to their unique circumstances. To this end, we recognise that the effectiveness of Pastoral Care depends to a significant extent on the staff’s ability to implement it.

Our aim is to support all who have a professional concern for Pastoral Care, to disseminate good practice in Pastoral Care in education and promote the education, training and development of those engaged in Pastoral Care. With this in mind Riplington & Associates encourages staff members to undertake professional development, to better equip them to deal with the Pastoral Care of students in all its complexity.

We have Learning Programmes in Boarding Management and Pastoral Care on the roles and duties of boarding house staff, duty of care, policies and record keeping, child protection, counselling skills for school counsellors (including those interested in gaining counselling skills) and team building.
