Boarding Management and Pastoral Care PDF Print E-mail

Pastoral Care is defined as nurturing the wellbeing of the members of the educational institution. We aim to enhance the personal growth of each individual physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially according to their unique circumstances. To this end, we recognise that the effectiveness of Pastoral Care depends to a significant extent on the staff’s ability to implement it.

boardingOur aim is to support all who have a professional concern for Pastoral Care, to disseminate good practice in Pastoral Care in education and promote the education, training and development of those engaged in Pastoral Care. With this in mind Riplington & Associates encourages staff members to undertake professional development, to better equip them to deal with the Pastoral Care of students in all its complexity.

We have Learning Programmes in Boarding Management and Pastoral Care on the roles and duties of boarding house staff, duty of care, policies and record keeping, child protection, counselling skills for school counsellors (including those interested in gaining counselling skills) and team building.

Teaching and Learning PDF Print E-mail

teachRandA aims to promote the best educational practices through workshops, conferences, and the provision of, support materials.

In addition, we contextualise teaching and learning practices by engaging teachers with current educational pedagogy and practical sessions to optimise the learning process.

This is realised by holding in-house and customised courses which aid the continuous professional development of teachers such as courses on Professionalism and Ethics, Early Childhood Care and Education, Lesson Planning, Creative Teaching, Differentiation and Assessment for Learning.

In line with our commitment to enhancing the quality of teaching and learning experience, we have decided to incorporate ‘Thinking Skills’ as a key component of successful teaching and learning.

This will assist teachers in teaching students who are able to think on a variety of topics thus holding them accountable for their actions.

Our courses are aimed at improving teaching strategies through giving teaching and learning tips, learning psychology and teaching styles.

Also, available is a community forum for teachers and educators to engage in dialogue with their counterparts.
